Wander Media Company initiated a partnership with 1% for St. Simons this month in an effort to not only support land preservation in Georgia’s Golden Isles, but also to provide business supporters of 1% for St. Simons with an exclusive opportunity to be featured on the in-room television of hotels and resorts throughout the region.
The 1% for St. Simons program is a consortium of businesses working to protect St. Simons Island in partnership with the St. Simons Land Trust, a community institution founded in 2000 to preserve the historic, cultural, and environmental features of the island. It is a voluntary giving program, with contributions used for land acquisition, public access, and scenic protection…forever. Currently, the St. Simons Land Trust has preserved 1,024 acres.
“We are excited to partner with Wander Media and share our passion for land preservation with visitors to the Golden Isles” says Sara Baker, 1% for St. Simons program manager.
Several members of 1% St. Simons have already taken advantage of Wander’s feature opportunity, including Georgia Sea Grill, Halyard’s, and Tramici. These businesses, along with over thirty others have their custom content airing across the region in nearly 60 hotels, resorts, and visitor centers.
Wander Media Company is the creative force behind a collection of visitor information television channels, including Wander Jacksonville, Wander Amelia Island, Wander St. Augustine, and Wander Golden Isles. Featured in hotels and resorts throughout Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida, Wander entertains and informs millions of viewers every year with compelling, engaging video content. No loops, no piled-on advertising. Wander gives travelers access to the best places to eat, drink, shop, and play, all without leaving the comfort of their hotel room.
