Wander Media Company’s Founder, Kate Strickland, will be acting as host for the NC State Cheerleaders during their stay in Jacksonville for this 2018 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. NC State is representing the ACC as they face Texas A&M at TIAA Bank Field on New Year’s Eve.
“As a member of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl’s Chairman’s Club, as well as sitting on the Advisory Board for the Jacksonville Sports Council, Kate’s selection for this position was a no-brainer,” said Rick Catlett, TaxSlayer Gator Bowl President & CEO. “She is a wonderful ambassador for our city and its extensive hospitality offerings.”
Kate’s primary duties will include working with NC State’s Cheerleading Head Coach, Harold Trammel, and his team to ensure seamless travel, arrival and coordination of activities. During their visit, the cheerleading squad will be participating in charity events, pep rallies, and both pre-game and half-time performances.
This selection is part of an ongoing partnership between Wander Media Company and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Wander Media Company served a sponsor for the 2017 game, when the Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Louisville Cardinals, 31-27.
