Urban Core

Jacksonville is a city with many names – The First Coast, the River City, and the Boldest City in the South, to name a few. But perhaps the most quintessential Jacksonville moniker is the City of Bridges, as both the St. Johns River and the IntraCoastal Waterway carve through our city, requiring multiple crossing points. In fact, there are nine bridges visible from downtown Jacksonville alone! This is one of the most memorable features of Jacksonville’s urban core. Here, visitors don’t have to choose between the city and the water; they can have both.

Downtown Jacksonville’s youthful, urban energy is what attracts everything from Fortune 500 companies to professional sports teams, museums, fine dining, and diverse nightlife. See the many sights via the downtown trolley, the skyway, or the water taxi.

Your trip to Jacksonville wouldn’t be complete without spending a few hours downtown, taking in the metropolitan sights of the City of Bridges.
